This page is dedicated to the changes I make in my diet over time. Here is where I will document which things I successfully incorporate into my diet as time goes by. I will of course write blog posts about my plans along the way, but here is where I will document exactly what I have actually changed for at least a month. The details behind the benefits of each change can also be found in blog posts.
The following changes were influenced by the Shred Revolutionary Diet
I have replaced my 100% Whole Wheat Bread with Ezekiel Bread.
I now put this in my daily smoothie. I started with Flaxseed Oil and stuck with this.
It seems simple, but I was not eating enough vegetables each day. So, now I concentrate on eating not only more vegetables, but also many different colors of veggies.
I live in Florida, but was not taking advantage of 100% Juice. I now only drink 100% Juice, no more juice from concentrate.
I eat beans/legumes once or twice a week.
It took me a couple of weeks to learn to cook this correctly, but once I did I realized what a gem it was. I add a little butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon and I am happy.
I drink a cup of lemon water each and every morning before I begin eating, 1 cup water + the juice of 1/2 a lemon.
The Following was influenced by SimpleGreenSmoothies.com
I have replaced at least one meal a day with a green smoothie.
I drink at least two cups of tea each day. This is especially great at night because it seems to curb my need to eat.
Oats, Grains, and Seeds made easy (from left to right), Milled Flax Seeds, Chia Seeds, Semolina, Irish Couscous, Quinoa, Oats, Red Lentils, Pinto Beans, Popcorn. Since this photo, I have replaced the popcorn with kidney beans and put the popcorn in a large container. I put everything in Mason Jars to make them easier to use. I make sure to use something from my jars with every meal.
I eat at least 4 ounces of nuts and seeds every day, thus I am getting omegas, proteins, minerals and more.
